What is LeoSwap?

LeoSwap is an online marketplace where parents can buy and sell their daughter's gymnastics wear. It's similar to other marketplace sites like Poshmark and Mercari, but specifically for gymnastics wear. You can find popular leotard brands and styles at a fraction of retail price, allowing your gymnast to feel like a star in the gym without spending a fortune.

Who can sell on LeoSwap?

Anyone who has gymnastics wear they no longer need! Whether your daughter has too many leos, had a growth spurt, or has retired from the sport, selling on LeoSwap is a great way to do it.

What items can I buy/sell on LeoSwap?

LeoSwap currently offers the following types of gymnastics wear: leotards, unitards, tops, bottoms, and crop sets.

Since this is primarily a gymnastics marketplace, only list items for sale that your daughter would wear in the gym – please no dance leotards or dresses. If you'd like to see a new item type offered, send us an email at hello@leoswap.com, we'd love to hear your ideas!

How can I reach customer support?

Email is currently the only way to reach us, at hello@leoswap.com, which allows us to send/receive screenshots and other useful documentation to aid in assisting you.

When reaching out, please be sure to include the email address linked to your LeoSwap account, order number (if applicable), and any other details that will help us better understand the situation.

Marketplace Fees

Seller Fee: Flat $1.00 per item sold.

Buyer Fees:

1. StickIt Protection Fee (varies by price):

  • Items under $20: Greater of $1 or 10%
  • Items $20-$150: Greater of $2 or 8%
  • Items over $150: Tier 2 max + 3% of amount over $150

2. VaultVerify Fee: 3.5% + $0.49 + variable component

Includes a variable component (up to $0.99). Covers payment processing (Stripe fees) and secure escrow service.

These fees provide comprehensive buyer protection and enable platform improvements.

Buying Questions

What size should I buy?

Sizing can vary between brands and styles. We recommend:

  • Check the seller's measurements in the item description
  • Compare with your current gymnastics wear
  • Look for the size chart button next to the size on product pages to view the brand's official size chart
  • Message the seller for specific measurements
  • Consider the item's stretch and fit style
  • When in doubt, size up for growing athletes

What are item conditions?

We know leos can often get some tough love in the gym, so we're here to layout the details of item conditions to help you know exactly what you're buying:

New: New from the original manufacturer, with any original tags still attached (but please note that some companies don't tag items). New items may have been tried on once, but have not been worn beyond that.
Excellent Used Condition (EUC): Items in EUC may have been worn in the gym, but still look brand new. They don't show any signs of use, and are free of wash wear, pilling, staining, and holes.
Very Good Used Condition (VGUC): Items in VGUC have been worn in the gym, and may show signs of light wash-wear or a small amount of pilling.
Good Used Condition (GUC): Items in GUC have spent time in the gym, and likely show some signs of use, such as moderate wash wear, moderate pilling, minor stains, and some missing spangles/crystals.
Fair: Items in fair condition have been heavily worn and may have some major defects, such as heavy wash-wear, heavy pilling, staining, missing spangles/crystals, small holes, or broken neck clasps. These items must still be usable, and the defects disclosed by the seller.

We ask all sellers to disclose details of the item's condition in the description of all item listings; however as a buyer, it's also important to look closely at all pictures and message the seller with any questions prior to purchasing.

How to search for a specific brand?

Finding specific brands is easy:

  • Use the search bar and type the brand name
  • Apply brand filters on the shop page
  • Browse by popular brands in our categories
  • Set up alerts for specific brands you're looking for

Issue with an item?

If you receive an item that doesn't match the description:

  • Navigate to your order in the LeoSwap app
  • Select "Report a Problem" to open a claim
  • Include clear photos and detailed information about the issue
  • Our team will review your case within 48 hours
  • If approved for a refund, you'll receive a prepaid shipping label to return the items
  • We offer comprehensive buyer protection for qualifying issues

Who pays for shipping?

The buyer pays an assumed shipping rate of 6oz per item, to their zip code from the seller's zip code, at checkout. In the rare case that the package is heavier than our estimation, the remaining shipping balance will be paid for by the seller. All shipping labels and rates are provided by Sendle.

How to cancel an order?

After placing an order, it cannot be canceled by the buyer. If the item has not shipped, you can message the seller and ask them to cancel your order, but they are not required to.

Order not received?

If your order hasn't arrived:

  • Check tracking information in your account
  • Contact the shipping carrier directly
  • Wait 2-3 business days past delivery date
  • Contact the seller for assistance
  • Open a case with LeoSwap if needed

We provide full buyer protection for items not received.

How to list a size?

Accurate sizing is crucial for successful sales:

  • Use the size on the garment's tag as primary reference
  • Include measurements (chest, waist, length) in your description
  • Note if the item runs large, small, or true to size
  • Mention the brand's typical sizing characteristics
  • Include photos of size tags when possible

How to choose an item's condition?

Be honest about condition to ensure buyer satisfaction:

  • Examine items carefully in good lighting
  • Look for signs of wear, stains, or damage
  • Consider how much the item has been worn
  • When in doubt, choose a lower condition rating
  • Mention any flaws in your description
  • Take photos of any imperfections

What price to list an item?

Price competitively to sell quickly:

  • Research similar items currently for sale
  • Consider the original retail price
  • Factor in condition, brand popularity, and demand
  • Generally price 30-70% of retail depending on condition
  • Remember that LeoSwap charges a $1 seller fee per item
  • Be open to reasonable offers from buyers

What if an item's brand isn't listed?

If you can't find your brand in our list:

  • Contact our support team to add the brand
  • Temporarily list under "Other" category
  • Include the brand name clearly in your title and description
  • We regularly add new brands based on user requests

How to take good pictures?

Great photos are key to successful sales:

  • Use natural lighting near a window
  • Take photos on a clean, neutral background
  • Include front, back, and detail shots
  • Show the item flat or on a hanger
  • Photograph any flaws or unique details
  • Include photos of size tags and care labels
  • Keep photos clear and in focus

Can I use my own shipping label?

No. Sellers are required to use the shipping label provided by LeoSwap.

  • Shipping protection coverage for both parties
